University's own test
Deusto is a private university with its own admission. For international students the process has 6 steps: prepare documents, apply online via the Secretaría Virtual, sit a test and/or interview (for some programmes), receive the decision by email or in the Secretaría Virtual, reserve a place (reserva de plaza) and complete enrolment (matrícula). There is a separate route for those who completed studies abroad equivalent to Bachillerato. For Ingeniería Informática, Ciencia de Datos e IA and their combinations there is an entrance exam — a single multiple-choice Mathematics test on maths common to all Bachillerato pathways. The test is normally in person; with a valid reason you can ask for an alternative, including online. The committee looks at grades for the 1st and 2nd years of Bachillerato (or their foreign equivalent), the test result and documents, and may call you for an interview. The application fee is €30 (non-refundable); the place reservation is €900 and is deducted from tuition. Deusto sources do not mention a preparatory (foundation) course.
Admission dates for 2026-2027: first stage 9 January to 17 February (test 6 March, decision 28 April, reservation by 10 May), second stage 13 to 31 May, summer stage 1 July to 23 August (only one programme is processed in the summer stage). These are the past intake's dates — check them for the next academic year. In the second stage not all programmes still have places. You need at least B2 in the programme's language; if you studied in Spanish or English, a transcript stating the language of instruction serves as proof.

Grades and the school certificate from a non-Spanish system must be official, with the Hague apostille, and where applicable with an official translation into Spanish, English, French or Italian. At the enrolment stage, depending on the programme and prior education, Deusto may require homologation of the certificate. The Russian certificate of secondary general education is homologated in Spain as the Título de Bachiller; the apostille on the original is obtained via Gosuslugi. Homologation can take several months, and educational centres may conditionally admit a student whose homologation file has been filed and is still pending.
Only language certificates from an in-person exam at an official centre covering all four skills are accepted; for example, TOEFL iBT 72-94 counts as B2.
